The Magic of the Rotary EClub of Brindabella

Thank you for entrusting me with the leadership of this Rotary Club in 2024-25.

This year's presidential theme, "The Magic of Rotary," perfectly captures how our organisation effortlessly creates positive change in the world. As Rotary International President Stephanie Urchick reminds us, this magic isn't about waving wands; it comes from dedicated members like you, working tirelessly on projects, donating generously, and welcoming new faces.

Our e-Club's diverse and geographically dispersed membership is a unique strength. It allows us to adopt a decentralized approach, empowering members to engage with Rotary initiatives that resonate with them, on their own terms and schedules. Let's continue to embrace this flexibility in the year ahead.

Being an e-Club also means leveraging technology to its fullest potential.  Let's explore innovative ways to connect and collaborate online, ensuring that every member feels empowered to participate and contribute.

Our club has a strong legacy of supporting Rotary's youth programs, and I commend Youth Director Hayley for her outstanding work.  We'll continue to champion RYPEN, RYLA, MUNA, and other initiatives that empower the next generation of leaders.

While we're an e-Club, our roots are firmly planted in the southeast of NSW and the ACT.  This year, we'll explore how to further strengthen our ties within this community, balancing our virtual presence with local engagement.

I'm also incredibly proud to acknowledge our newly installed District Governor, Rob Uhl.  Rob's appointment, following closely on the heels of Past District Governor Geraldine Rurenga, speaks volumes about the calibre of leadership within our club. It's a testament to the value that our club brings to District 9705.

Please join me this Thursday, June 11 at 8pm AEST, for our first meeting of the new Rotary year. The link below will take you straight into Zoom. Please note, the link has changed!
