WHAT GOES ON DURING POLIO VACCINATIONS?
As the world faces growing conflict and uncertainty, polio is making its comeback. Cases of wild poliovirus continue to be found in Pakistan and Afghanistan while vaccine-derived poliovirus has also emerged as a threat, including in Gaza.
Rotary's decades long commitment to fighting this disease cannot be undone. We must continue to vaccinate and save the world from polio.
Rotarian Nasseem Khan, a member of RC Jerrabomberra, will speak at our meeting this Thursday, July 25, on his experience vaccinating against polio in Pakistani villages.
