9th of July Meeting Recap

The meeting was the first meeting of July for the E-Club of Brindabella, where members discussed various updates and announcements. The main focus was on a potential new member, Garth Perkins, who was considering joining the club after resigning from Coolaman Rotary Club after 22 years of membership. The group played an icebreaker game to learn about members' preferences between summer and winter, pizza and hamburgers, board games and card games, and sweet and salty foods. Jenny provided an update on the pie drive initiative, explaining that local bakeries were fully booked through December and would need to book for next year to participate. The club discussed challenges with the scholarship program, particularly regarding the process between the Greater Good organization and Canberra University, with Travis agreeing to meet with the university to clarify selection criteria and involvement of club members in the process. Jenny gave a foundation update, reminding members about the importance of supporting Rotary Foundation with donations, and the group celebrated Ross Ellis's 35 years in Rotary and discussed various members' birthdays.
