The Rotary eClub of Brindabella meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month at 8pm Canberra/Sydney time. Our meetings include speakers, club business, project planning and more. Visitors are welcome.

Meeting Recap: March 26
The meeting began with participants exchanging greetings and discussing recent weather events, particularly a lightning strike that affected Rob's neighborhood. The conversation included a brief discussion about a lightning tracking app and Meg's continued work at her store in Orange. The meeting was officially opened by Travis , who acknowledged traditional land owners and welcomed attendees to the Rotary eClub of Brindabella meeting.
The meeting began with updates on member locations, noting Wendy's presence in Nepal and Ros' in New Zealand. Travis acknowledged the Wagga members for organising the Hats off for Mental Health trivia night that raised $1500 for Rotary mental health and encouraged support for the Canberra Sundowners' upcoming trivia event. The discussion highlighted open Rotary Community Leader positions in several districts, including the online portfolio and Capital Region North Rotary Community Group, inviting members to consider stepping up for these roles. The meeting welcomed special guest Lucy, a youth exchange student who had been sponsored by the club during her time in France.
Lucy presented her experience from her year-long exchange program in France, sharing details about her host families, school, cultural differences, and travels across Europe. The club discussed updates on several projects, including the cancellation of a global grant with Uganda due to administrative issues, and Ross proposed a new initiative to support Motor Neurone Disease through bottle collection. The meeting also covered upcoming events including MUNA in the Highlands on May 31st and the Rotary Emergency Services Awards dinner in Sydney on July 27th.

The 2026 Rotary districts of ACT, NSW and Victoria Emergency Services Community Award nominations have now opened.
Nominations for this award can be made at www.resca.awardsplatform.com and will be open until the 30th April 2026.
If you know an emergency service member either paid or volunteer that may be worthy of this award to please nominate them.
