Meet a member - Ros Robinson
Ros Robinson has been a Mission Coordinator with The Salvation Army in Wagga for the past four years.
Her role involves:
Community Engagement
Social Justice
Building Healthy Communities
Spiritual Oversight and Creating Faith Pathways
One-on-one mentoring
Creating & facilitating community programs like the English Conversation Program for migrants
She has a background in:
Youth Mentoring
Volunteer Recruitment & Management
International Aid Coordination
Leading Community Outreach Teams
Community development
Advocacy for multicultural communities & particularly PALM Scheme workers
She has a passion for working alongside those who leave their own country to look for better conditions of life in Australia.
Current member of Rotary & one of only 18 women worldwide to join the Salvation Army International Social Justice Women's Group. This group informs the UN Commission on the Status Of Women on grassroots issues.
A mother of five adult sons, one grandson & a granddaughter. She has a Diploma in Christian Ministry & Theology & is a member of Chaplaincy Australia. Ros volunteers as a Board Member of Sunflower House.
8 November 2023 Wagga chohort members with the assistance of Rotaract member and Kooringal Members catered for Tension College Mt Gambier students and teachers for Breakfast 5am at the caravan park in Wagga a total of 101. A fun morning had by all. A big Thank you to Ariah Park school for donation of eggs.
The Club is required to hold an AGM within six months of the end of the financial year. At the AGM, reports for the 2022-2023 year will be presented by past President Norm and office holders and the executive board for 2024-2025 will be elected.
The AGM be held on December 7, 8pm, via Zoom at the same link as usual.
Per the Club's constitution and bylaws, the President-Elect automatically becomes the president. However, the AGM is required to elect the other members of the executive board (President-Elect/Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary).
Additional members of the 2024-2023 board and other committee chairs/officer positions will be decided at a later date.
